For our last Pivot Questionnaire of our 2017 Company member series, we interview Carmela Sison, who plays Shylock’s daughter Jessica in The Merchant of Venice and Lucetta, Julia’s servant, in The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Here, she reveals her desire to attempt what we all really wish we could try – being Beyoncé.
1. What is your favorite word? Pamplemousse
2. What is your least favorite word? Asthma.
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Dedication.
4. What turns you off? Bad spelling.
5. What is your favorite curse word? Sh*t/scheisse.
6. What sound or noise do you love? The noise of my parent’s house on Christmas Eve when we open gifts. I have six nieces and nephews, so it gets pretty wild.
7. What sound or noise do you hate? “Turkey in the Straw” blaring from a loud speaker ?
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Being Beyoncé.
9. What profession would you not like to do? Mover.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? That everyone’s going to be okay.
