Exciting news on the casting front!
We’re thrilled to announce that Bob Frazer will be back on the Studio Stage at Bard for our 25th Anniversary season in 2014.
After taking a year away from Bard while he pursued other projects (including his recent work as Jay Gatsby in Theatre Calgary’s The Great Gatsby, Bob will appear in next season’s productions of Bill Cain’s Equivocation and Shakespeare’s Cymbeline.
An audience fave, Bob Frazer was last seen on the Bard stage in 2012 as Macbeth.
Bob first appeared at Bard in 2005, and many of you will remember his powerful turn as Richard in 2011’s Richard III as well as his hilarious and unforgettable Petruchio in 2007’s The Taming of the Shrew.
Below is an update from Bob telling you a little about his time away, his favourite moments at Bard and looking toward the 25th anniversary season…
This past year has been an extremely eventful one. I took 6 months off of acting to re-energize and re-educate myself. I took some acting lessons, went on a long road trip with my family and disconnected from all things theatre. It was an amazing time for me and I feel extremely happy and alive again. Not only that but I am chomping at the bit to get back in the tents. When I think of the summer ahead I get so excited I feel like I’m about to explode.
Have fun!
Bob
