Thank you for your interest in Riotous Youth 2018. Bard on the Beach is proud to offer this opportunity to young people considering careers in and around the arts. The initial impulse for the program came from young people, and each year the program has evolved, in response to input from participating youth.
All Riotous Youth:
- Support Young Shakespeareans Workshops
- Can take classes in voice, movement, text, acting skills and teaching artistry
Some Riotous Youth:
- Present the pre-performance In a Nutshell talks in the Bard Village during the Festival season
- Participate in the ensemble that presents “A Shakesperience”
All Riotous Youth will receive an honorarium based on the opportunity offered. Honoraria range from $350 for the smallest time commitment, to $1500 for the most extensive. None of the opportunities are for full-time employment, and expected time commitments for the program will be scheduled and shared well in advance so participants can secure additional employment elsewhere.
