Bard stands with the AAPI and Asian Canadian community and remains committed to educating ourselves and taking action to #StopAsianHate.

Anti-Asian racism did not start with COVID-19 but hate crimes against those of Asian descent are currently up 717% in Vancouver alone. In BC, women are impacted even more, accounting for nearly 70% of all incidents (@proj1907). These are only two horrifying results of a heartbreaking upsurge in anti-Asian racism in Canada and around the world. Together, it is our responsibility to condemn hate and rectify the racial inequalities of our communities.
