Current Opportunities at Bard on the Beach
Thank you for your interest in working at Bard on the Beach, Western Canada’s largest Shakespeare Festival. We work with an annual budget of over $5 million and welcome over 100,000 patrons per year. Now entering our 27th Season, the Festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas, and several special events from June through September, and educational programming year-round. Our two large theatre tents are located on Vanier Park's magnificant waterfront, offering views of the ocean, the North Shore mountains and downtown Vancouver.

The Marketing Coordinator works on projects and tasks to support public awareness and engagement with the Festival and contribute to its attendance and ticket revenue goals. Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, primary responsibilities include coordinating the production of an 80-page Festival House Program; planning and activating the distribution of printed and online marketing materials; sourcing and coordinating business-to-business seasonal marketing partnerships; maintaining the Festival’s multimedia resources, and providing administrative support to the department.

2017 Directing Apprenticeships
Emerging professional theatre directors will have the opportunity to participate in a unique training opportunity at Vancouver’s premier Shakespeare festival. Apprentice Directors will receive training and mentoring from senior members of the company while supporting the creation of one of Bard’s 2017 productions.
