IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE

Welcome to Bard’s BMO Virtual Mainstage! We’ve commissioned theatre artists from across Canada to create original Shakespeare-inspired video features, in their own voice.

The second series from the BMO Virtual Mainstage is If Music Be The Food Of Love.

EPISODE 1 – Andrew Wheeler’s “Hold Me”

Andrew Wheeler, long-time Bard Company member, developed this original multi-media reimagining of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet featuring artists Olivia Hutt and Baraka Rahmani.

EPISODE 2 – Munish Sharma’s “Ode to Music”

Munish joined us for his first season at Bard as a Company member in our 2019 production of All’s Well That Ends Well.

EPISODE 3 – Carly Street & Beau Dixons’ “The Brent Carver Project”

Carly Street was cast in our 2020 Bard Company and is supported by musician Beau Dixon. This video was dedicated to the memory of Brent Carver.

EPISODE 4 (FINAL EPISODE) – Ghazal Azarbad & Christopher Allen with “Divine Darkness”

Ghazal starred as Viola in our 2019 production of Shakespeare in Love. Both Ghazal and Christopher were cast in our 2020 Bard Company. This piece was inspired by Paradise Lost, written by Erin Shields.
