Bursaries

The Bard Education Bursary Fund was initiated by our brilliant Volunteers in Summer 2016. We are very grateful for the generosity that keeps the Bursary growing every year, and we encourage anyone encountering financial barriers to their participation in our programs to apply.

To support Bard Education’s free programs, please consider donating to the Bard Education Bursary Fund. We’re grateful for donations of any size. A tax receipt will be issued for donations of $25 or more.

Bursary applications are held in confidence, and complete information is available only to the Bursary Administrator. The Bursary Committee will review materials with the applicants’ names removed and will determine awards based entirely on demonstrated financial need and the availability of bursary funds.

To apply, please submit the following documents by email to jcartmel@bardonthebeach.org, or by mail Attn: Bursary Administrator, Bard on the Beach, BMO Theatre Centre, 201 – 162 West 1st Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Y 0H6.

  1. Bursary Application Form
  2. Proof of your income status (2018 or 2019 Notice of Assessment for the parents or guardians)
  3. Short paragraph about circumstances or why you are applying for the Bursary (optional)

Please note: the completion of the Bursary Application Form does not register you for the program.

Please note: you can submit your Bursary application at any time. Applicants will be considered as they’re submitted, based on available funds.
