Young Shakespeareans Workshops
For over twenty years our Young Shakespeareans Workshops have inspired, nurtured, and encouraged the dreams of children and teens from ages eight to eighteen. Professional actors from our company help participants bring Shakespeare’s words to life through coaching in voice, movement and dialogue, and with activities designed to boost confidence and foster collaborative relationships. We want our Young Shakespeareans to gain ease with the language, passion for the text and friendships that last long beyond the workshop.
Young Shakespeareans Winter Will
Saturday workshops for children and teens at the BMO Theatre Centre, 162 West 1st Avenue
Workshop for students in grades 4-12
In this progressive workshop, you’ll get a chance to work deeply on selected speeches from a variety of Shakespeare’s plays, with guidance from Bard’s teaching artists. Using voice, movement, acting techniques and collaboration, the exploration will involve both individual and group work, and will culminate in an informal presentation on the final day.
