What a week! From Jessies to dress rehearsals to opening nights, it’s been all hands on deck and the late June rain hasn’t deterred any of you, our enthusiastic audiences – it’s cozy and dry in the tents! On Monday night Bard won five Jessie Richardson Awards – four of them for our 2012 production, The Merry Wives of Windsor. Huge congratulations to Johnna Wright, Pam Johnson, Drew Facey and Benjamin Elliott, plus Gerald King (lighting design, Macbeth) for their wins! See the full list of nominations and winners here.

Last night, Twelfth Night officially opened to a packed house and ended with a ‘most wonderful’ standing ovation! Congratulations to director Dennis Garnhum and our wonderful cast and crew. This Saturday we’re excited to open the much anticipated Hamlet, and there are only a limited amount of tickets left – check online for availability. Tonight John Murphy’s jazz infused interpretation of Measure For Measure has its dress rehearsal and we end the week on Sunday night with Elizabeth Rex – in a first sneak peek for Bard members. Break a leg everyone!
